Rare record of these meetings relating to consciousness and the occult. Russian mystical philosopher Peter Ouspensky is today best remembered for his association with G. Gurdjieff, the Greek-Armenian mystic and spiritual teacher who founded a school for spiritual development called The Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man. Although Ouspensky and Gurdjieff had a falling out, Ouspensky continued to teach Gurdjieff's ideas in small private groups as here , and he further wrote about Gurdjieff's teachings in a book originally entitled Fragments of an Unknown Teaching, only published posthumously in under the title In Search of the Miraculous.
