I know that sounds weird, but it really describes how I feel about How To Fall. What really happened was not what I expected AT ALL, and given everyone has a different idea of what happened to Freya and what was going through her mind when she died and what could have resulted in her death.
It just goes to show that some people are just so terribly cruel, and I hate that people are like that. We do learn a little bit about Freya throughout the book, but it was still hard for me to get into the mystery of her death…especially when we learn what really happened the night she died.

How to Fall
Rate this:. Like this: Like Loading Jess Tennant is a sixteen year old who, with her mother, is spending the summer in her mothers home village. The only thing Jess knows about them is that her cousin, who was the spitting image of Jess, died the previous year in a fall off the cliffs. When Jess meets her cousins she becomes intrigued as to why her cousin, who was reportedly very happy, would commit suicide.
As an adult reading a teen book I really enjoyed it.
Book Review: How to Fall (Jess Tennant Mysteries #1) by Jane Casey | The Young Folks
The last teen books I read were Nancy Drew and it was great to see a modern girl sleuth take on the baddies in an up to date way. I thought Casey made her teenage characters realistic and this definitely had a contemporary feel to it.
I intend to get my daughter to write a Young Adult review of this book and you can look forward to reviews of more Young Adult crime fiction in the future.
