We forget that suffering is often the cause and not just the result of illness.

The Power of Intention - Starla Fitch MD

Palliative care, with its focus on the alleviation of suffering and the healing power of compassion, has so much to teach modern medicine. The best lessons in this wonderful book are the stories of what went wrong: with deep humanity the authors lead us through loss and confusion to places of love, wisdom and healing. So many health professionals need this understanding and healing in their own lives. Others interested in how best to approach such patients will find it a wonderful read.

Many people back away from living with death as one's constant companion.

Paul's Palliative Care Unit, and in other ways there is so much I don't know, and don't have the skills or wisdom to address, and those are the issues that you particularly address, namely, suffering, the relief of suffering and meaning - meaning of the illness, and meaning of one's life, particularly if life is seen to be in jeopardy. This book is a 'must read' for all health care professionals. Boniface in Winnipeg, knows and practices the philosophy that caring endures when curing is no longer possible.

Paul Tripp - Suffering: Gospel Hope When Life Doesn't Make Sense

You deserve that. In the question that she asked was so much emotion, really deep feelings, and a sense that the deep questioning held much more despair than the actual words of her question.

This made me turn to see who was this woman, and there stood this person, who I later met as Nicole Eastman. The answers she received didn't seem to satisfy, but obviously led her on a search to understand - how could this God and positive affirmations rid her of the despair of the loss she experienced as a promising doctor and young vibrant woman? How could she find healing after such a loss?

The pain was heard in her words, which compelled me to reach out to her. I remember going up to her and giving her my business card for Positive S. S, and letting her know that she was not alone, but would be held inside the Sisterhood where we find empowerment as we hold the light for our sisters until each one emerges from the dark night of their soul in their own light. That was June Nicole's spirit encompasses so much compassion and empathy to support, inspire and uplift as she reaches out to bring her light to transform the Souls of Others by teaching them to find the Promise of Hope inside the Pain.

Working on the book, I AM! Love, Wisdom and Guidance through Soul Reflection was one of the most rewarding experiences I have collaborated on. She was gentle loving, and gathered the perfect people for the book compilation, creating a sacred, safe space to be open and vulnerable for the growth and development for others. Nicole has touched my life deeply with the invitation to the project, and caused me to know what's possible when we simple obey what God instructs our hearts to do.

I am grateful for meeting this wonderful Soul and honored to call her my Sister. Along with many of the other co-authors, it was my first time being involved with a book project and Nicole was very patient to instruct us. She not only offered help for the project but supported us with prayer and uplifting words. She has been a source of inspiration to me and has invested in my life in many ways. God has given her a heart to reach out to others in their time of crisis and the compassion to see them healed and restored.

She has a powerful testimony and has encouraged me and countless others to be bold and tell our stories of survival. It is an honor to serve with her and I know that she is making a significant impact in the lives of men, women and children around the world. It is beautiful to see her boldly use the gifts and talents that God gave her for His glory. In telling her story she has given hope to the hopeless and touched many lives. She is a wife, mother, daughter of the King and mighty warrior for His Kingdom! Eastman asked me to become a part of the I AM!

I did not expect, however, to be so moved by Dr.
